The late Annie Wersching was an actress most recognized for her work on “24,” and “Timeless.” She was 45. Following a battle with cancer, Wersching passed away on Sunday in Los Angeles, her spokesperson announced. It was not stated what kind of cancer it was. In addition to her husband Full, Wersching is survived by her three children, Freddie (12), Ozzie (9), and Archie (4). Following the passing of his wife, Wesching’s husband, actor and comedian Stephen Full spoke with Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter.
“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it,” Full said. “She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for the adventure to find us. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”
Wersching, who was born in St. Louis in March 1977, had her television debut in the first decade of the new millennium, landing parts in shows including “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Birds of Prey,” and “Frasier.” She advanced to series regular status toward the end of the aughts, portraying Renee Walker on the Fox action thriller “24” from 2009 to 2010 and Amelia Joffe on the ABC medical drama “General Hospital” in 2007.
Her more recent performances include Julia Brasher on the Prime Video criminal drama “Bosch” from 2014–2021 and Emma Whitmore on the NBC drama “Timeless” from 2017–2018. She also provided the voice of Tess for the post-apocalyptic video game “The Last of Us” from 2013, which was recently converted into an HBO drama starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. In the ABC crime thriller “The Rookie,” which also starred Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, and Richard T. Jones, Wesching played Rosalind Dyer.
