911 Lone Star Season 3 Episode 17 Recap
It’s been almost a year since Charles died, and Tommy is helping Julius box up Charles’ possessions. Julius invites her to his forthcoming gig after she persuades him to take a pair of Charles’ shoes. Tommy agrees, taking her girls along with him, and she becomes engrossed in Julius’ serenade’s lyrics. Tommy takes the girls to bed later that night, and she’s astonished to learn that Julius skipped the afterparty. They kiss (again), and Tommy pulls him away for a time before falling back into his arms. Grace and Judd join Wyatt’s mother and stepfather for supper. If Wyatt gets the internship, he’ll be in Austin, and the Ryders have invited him to live with them if he gets it. Nancy wants to tell everyone about her and Mateo’s relationship, but Mateo refuses. When Nancy and Mateo fight and no one knows why game night turns awry. Tommy visits Charles’ grave with flowers and sits down on the ground to talk with him. She admits that she feels alive right now with Julius around, and she wants to ask him to remain. Instead of expressing regret, Tommy claims that she has a gut feeling that Charles has already granted her permission to move on.
A woman fleeing an abusive husband places herself beneath her moving car to prevent it from rolling away with her children inside. She claims that her husband is abusive, but Carlos is powerless to intervene because she failed to submit a police report. Owen provokes the husband into assaulting them, then arrests him for assault. They dupe Nancy into coming to Tarlos’ place for game night and ultimately settle their differences. Mateo admits that he was insecure about being so much shorter than her when they revealed they were hooking up. Nancy, on the other hand, is unconcerned about any of this. When Wyatt arrives for his interview, he’s surprised to see that he’s the only one who’s dressed up. Judd feels terrible for not simply encouraging Wyatt to be himself, so he brings him back for a second chance. While his son waits in the car, Judd makes his way into the building to plead Wyatt’s case. Meanwhile, a building security guard emerges to report a gas leak. Wyatt crawls out of the truck and dials 9-1-1 as the building explodes.
