Abbott Elementary Season 1 Episode 11 Recap
For some reason, Janine and Jacob have begun to notice that the children are suddenly respecting them. They believed they had made a connection with them. That is until Janine observed a shoe mark on a couple of her classmates’ desks. Speaking with other teachers, it was discovered that, with the exception of Barbara’s, every class has those shoe imprints on some of the desks. This is where Mr. Johnson entered the picture. Mr. Johnson informed the teachers about the ‘Desking’ trend on social media. A child may be seen bouncing from one side of the classroom to the other by jumping on desks. The teachers realized they needed to do something to reverse the trend. They located a shoe that fits the shoe mark with the help of Jacob’s boyfriend Zach, who is a great sneakerhead. Gregory identified the shoes as Brianna and Stefon’s, narrowing the search. Brianna and Stefon were brought in by the teachers, but neither of them was ready to speak.
As a result, they had no choice but to let them go. Teachers devised a scheme to capture the kids in the act by installing a covert camera in the classroom. So Janine and Jacob enrolled in a class together, only to discover later that one of the students was desking behind their backs without their knowledge. Someone soon tipped off the school district and informed them of the dangerous viral trend. Furthermore, Barbara discovered a shoe mark in her class. Barbara believes that teachers should abandon their pretense of being able to relate to children. This sparked an idea in Janine’s head. Every pupil thinks teachers are a bunch of jerks. As a result, if they do this desking, the trend may fall out of favor and become uncool. As a result, Janine assumed leadership of Desking, only to tumble. But she was confident that this would work. It was only a matter of finding someone obnoxious. Everyone’s gaze was drawn to Jacob, who was desking with the assistance of his boyfriend’s new sneakers. As a result, the trend has come to an end.
