Abbott Elementary Season 2 Episode 2 Recap
New books are delivered to Abbott for the nearby charter school Addington Elementary. The teachers decide to return the books together because they have all been wanting to see Addington for a while. They are astonished by what they discover. Everything is up to date and there are a tonne of resources at Addington. There is even a computer lab for the kids. And… Who works there but Melissa’s loathed sister? Recent Videos from Us Although Janine maintains that the Abbott is equally as good as Addington, the Abbott teachers are envious. She still wants to give the students a special feeling. She, therefore, suggests that they divert their limited grant funds away from essentials like cleaning supplies and instead use them to purchase a computer for the library. When Ava notices that the faculty members are divided about how to divide the monies, she convenes a panel of “sharks” to hear their arguments and make a decision. Gregory is dodging Barbara such as the devil in the meanwhile. Taylor is the one he wants to break up with, but he doesn’t want Barbara to get upset with him. In order for things to work themselves out, Jacob persuades him to “peter out” in his connection with Taylor.
Gregory watches Janine practice her speech for the shark tank. She thanks him for the advice to keep the showmanship to a minimum. She claims that is why she turned to him—his sincerity. Gregory acknowledges she is correct. He is sincere. And why would he want to alter that? He finally makes up his mind to approach Barbara and come clean about his connection with her kid. Barbara first reveals that Taylor intends to end their relationship. She has consistently “petered out” of their relationship. Ava and her panel listen to speeches from the teachers. A better kitchen is desired by the cafeteria staff. The trainer desires upgraded gym equipment. However, Janine makes the most eye-catching speech and ends up taking home the grant money. But as she is enjoying herself, some kids start a commotion in the cafeteria.
The building is overrun with mice as the teachers all rush in. It appears that an exterminator will need to be paid for with the grant money. Janine is devastated. She merely wanted to give the youngsters the same sense of specialness that the Addington children experience on a daily basis. This provides Ava with some insight. After taking care of the issue, Abbott won’t have much money left over, but they will be able to buy the kids something they’ll truly appreciate. Therefore, they hire a water-ice truck with the leftover cash. Kids adore it. Jacob informs Janine about the breakup of Gregory and Taylor as everyone is enjoying the treat. Gregory receives some water ice from Janine. He expresses gratitude to her and assures her of his safety.
