In AGATHA ALL ALONG Episode 7, we learn more about Lilia Calderu and her journey along The Witches’ Road. As Lilia goes through her last trial, shocking truths come to light in this episode. But the biggest surprise has to do with Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza). Fans have long thought that Rio is more than meets the eye, and this episode backs that up.
Who is Rio Vidal? That’s the episode’s big twist.
It’s the trial that Lilia Calderu goes through in Episode 7 of AGATHA ALL ALONG that really drives the story. Lilia can see glimpses of her past and future, which makes her journey non-linear. This means that she goes through events in a different order than they happened. For her to face her past and her future, she has to accept that she will die.
In a shocking turn of events- we learn that Rio Vidal is not just another character in the show: she is Death herself. Lilia finally figures out that Rio who has been a part of her story the whole time— is waiting for her at the end of her long journey in the form of Death.
Rio’s true identity has been hinted at in many places in the series. But there were times when she seemed like more than just another witch in Agatha’s group. Fans could tell something wasn’t right because she couldn’t kill Agatha and kept saying vague things about Death being close. Episode 7 finally proves it: Rio is Lady Death— a strong character from Marvel Comics.
After Episode 7 of AGATHA ALL ALONG, everyone wants to know if Rio Vidal is really dead. The answer isn’t as simple as it looks, though, since Rio isn’t a normal character. As this episode showed, Rio is actually Death itself come to life.
We find out that Rio’s real name is Lady Death in Episode 7. Lady Death is a powerful cosmic force in the Marvel Universe. In her true form, Rio can’t die like other characters can. Death is eternal, so even though Rio might look like she is in danger or even defeated at times — as Death— she is something that will always be there, beyond life and death.
This new information changes how we think about Rio’s part in the show. Unfortunately, she can’t just be killed off; as Lady Death in the series, she goes beyond mortal limits.
