Ryan Murphy spoke with Deadline after the finale aired on Wednesday, talked about future season 10
“We’re working on an idea for season 10 that I think people will love because it’s about reuniting fan-favorite actors to come back – because it might be our last season. It’s the last season we have contracted,” he noted.
When it comes to the (un)holy trinity’s return – aka Jessica Lange, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson – Murphy admitted that it’s “too soon to tell.”
But he did go on to cryptically add that “the people who helped build this show into what it is, who believed in it from the beginning, have been contacted.”
He continued: “If you look at the iconography of the first three seasons, you can figure who I’ve gone to.”
Peters and Lange played significant roles in Murder House as mother-and-son duo Tate and Constance Langdon, and in Asylum as murder suspect Kit Walker and Sister Jude Martin, respectively.
Other actors who played prominent parts in AHS’s first three seasons include Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe, and Emma Roberts.
