American Horror Story Season 10 Episode 1 Recap

One of the first things remarked about the new house for “American Horror Story: Double Feature” is that it seems haunted, following their anthology series that led audiences back to Murder House. ‘Cape Fear’ is the title of the first episode of Season 10. It begins with Harry Gardner, a struggling screenwriter, relocating to Massachusetts with his pregnant wife, Doris, and their daughter, Alma. Doris and Alma are hounded and pursued by Karen, a local troubled woman. Harry is experiencing writer’s block and chooses to get out to clear his head. He meets the town’s eccentric natives Austin and Sarah, alias Belle Noir, both accomplished writers, and a prostitute named Mickey at the town’s only restaurant.

Austin and Belle assuage Harry’s fears by assuring him that he will find his inspiration. Outside Harry’s house, a strange bald man with a pale complexion approaches but quickly vanishes. Austin administers medication to Harry in the hopes of inspiring him. After taking the black pill, Harry is able to complete his script. Harry, on the other hand, kills another bald man when he appears.

American Horror Story Season 10 Episode 2 Recap

The second episode, titled “Pale,” It’s only going to get much worse. Harry effectively puts the brakes on the family’s plan to flee P-Town in the second half of the premiere. When Harry explodes out at Alma for inquiring about his drug use, we see the first negative side effect of the pill.

Harry develops a taste for blood and seeks answers from Austin. The drug, according to Austin, enhances innate talent. Those without talent are transformed into the pale bald guys Harry met. The medication causes bloodlust as a side effect. Harry learns from his agent that his most recent screenplay has put him on the fast track to success. He chooses to continue taking the medications. Austin and Belle take Harry out to feed his craving for blood. Meanwhile, Alma, who is dissatisfied with her violin skills, consumes one of Harry’s pills and develops a taste for blood.

However, by the end of the second episode, Harry isn’t the only Gardener with a pill-popping problem. Alma steals one of her father’s little miracle pills, suddenly transforming herself into a more talented, irritated, and bloodthirsty version of herself. Doris is taken aback when she discovers Alma eating a dead animal the next morning.
