Arcane Act 1 Recap
Arcane’s first act was solely centered on Vi and Jinx as children. We saw them pull off an out-of-control theft with their cronies Mylo and Claggor. An explosion prompted Piltover’s high and mighty city to impose further pressure on Zaun’s dark underbelly, igniting Viktor and Jayce’s alliance to create HexTech, a hybrid of magic and technology. Vi, Mylo, and Claggor struggle to save their adoptive father Vander from Silco, an evil scientist with a vengeance against Vander, in a heartbreaking Episode 3. Powder, who followed Vi against her will, puts off a bomb that kills Mylo and Claggor just as they are about to flee. Vander dies after escaping. Vi throws a punch at Powder and flees. While Vi realizes her error and tries to return for Powder, she is apprehended by Piltover enforcer Marcus. Powder, on the other hand, is soothed by Silco and has wrath in her eyes, indicating that she is on her way to becoming Jinx.
