Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 12 Recap

After snooping around Gene’s business the previous week’s episode titled “Breaking Bad”, she had reason to believe he was up to no good, but Jeff’s arrest tonight has thrown her assumptions about him into question. She was able to put the pieces together and come to the conclusion that because Jeff had lived in Albuquerque in the past, it was likely that he had some knowledge of a certain con artist named Saul Goodman. It was because of this that Jeff was able to identify him in Omaha, and it was also how she found out the truth. She called the police using her Life Alert device, and let’s just say that this is it for Gene… at least for the time being. Then Gene contacts Marion, who is quite upset to hear the news, she is startled by Gene’s casual knowledge of this and asks him why Jeff chose him over her. Marion is so intrigued that she can’t help but look into it. When Jimmy visits her home, he discovers her watching a video of him playing Saul. Simply typing “con man in Albuquerque.”

Jimmy smashes the phone after disconnecting it when she tries to call the cops. He backs the old lady into a corner and wraps the phone cord around his hands. “I trusted you,” she says, and he drops the Life Alert pendant. she hits the button after Jimmy sobs as she releases it, alerting the operator that a “wanted man called Saul Goodman” is standing in front of her. Jimmy flees out her door as the operator summons the cops. The question now is, where will he go from here? We have no doubt that he will make another attempt to elude us, but we don’t know how he accomplishes it. Overall, this episode was quite fantastic while also being eerie. Jimmy McGill, is a man who let his best qualities slip away, and seems as though we are seeing the downfall of Jimmy McGill.
