Billions Season 6 Episode 12 Recap
Tensions are high at Prince Capital as Wendy leaves copies of her next book’s manuscript on everyone’s desks. They’re all concerned about what this means for them if it’s published, and they feel deceived by Wendy. The book contains data that may be combustible to the employees, and the majority of them do not want it released. While Taylor and Philip present their visions for MPC to their coworkers, with Taylor taking a clinical, data-driven approach and Philip attempting to seduce them with a night out, Prince finds himself once again in Chuck’s (Paul Giamatti) crosshairs. Scooter pays Chuck a visit and offers him job options at numerous Prince enterprises. Chuck is taken aback and admits that he was not expecting this. In the end, it appears that Prince is unconcerned about Mike Money being sabotaged. He’s planning for the future. He meets with Chinese government officials to discuss an infrastructure project arranged by Wags (David Constabile) but instead of accepting the proposal, he makes a huge show of refusing to collaborate with a government that violates human rights. When Dave and Chuck figure out what’s going on, Wags, furious over the China issue, is invited into Prince’s inner circle, along with Scooter. Mike Prince is planning a presidential bid for the United States in 2028. Chuck is utterly taken aback by the fact that the man who only recently revealed to Wendy that he sought power is now vying for the country’s most powerful post.
When word comes out that Mike is planning to organize a succession meeting, the staff begins to speculate about who might be the next CEO. In exchange for a sub-leadership role, Spyros expects he will be the successor and tells Taylor to back him up. Mike confirms that Spyros is not a candidate and that either Taylor or Philip will succeed him. As they present their presentations for Prince Capital, Taylor and Philip’s burgeoning rivalry heats up. Philip tries to seduce the team with a night out, whilst Taylor takes a detail-oriented analytical approach. Chuck sends a special order truck to park in front of Mike’s house and display his net worth in real time on a large screen. Mike’s reputation would suffer as a result of the vehicle, and he would lose his status as a’man of the people,’ especially in light of his new ‘Mike Money’ campaign.
