ABC’s Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-nominated comedy series “Black-ish” new season 7 returns on WEDNESDAY, OCT. 21 at 9:30-10:00 p.m.
In its seventh season, “black-ish” will continue to tell stories that shine a light on current events through the lens of the Johnson family, addressing the global pandemic, voting, systemic racism, and the movement for social justice and equality.

“It’s actually really exciting,” She told “Good Morning America“ about seeing everyone after an extended hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “For the longest time, they’ve been my family.”It’s still like we’re in this quarantine space,” the actress added.

The series stars Anthony Anderson as Andre “Dre” Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson Jr., Miles Brown as Jack Johnson, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson, Laurence Fishburne as Pops, Jenifer Lewis as Ruby, Peter Mackenzie as Mr. Stevens, Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy and Jeff Meacham as Josh.
As previously ABC reported, black-ish will comeback prior to its Season 7 launch with a partially animated, election-themed special on Sunday, Oct. 4.

ABC also has in development a third spinoff, old-ish, starring Laurence Fishburne and Jenifer Lewis.
ABC’s “black-ish” was created by Kenya Barris and is executive produced by Barris, Courtney Lilly, Laura Gutin Peterson, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland, E. Brian Dobbins and Michael Petok.
The series is produced by ABC Signature. ABC Signature is a part of Disney Television Studios, alongside 20th Television and Touchstone Television.
