Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 5 Recap
Frank Reagan is at odds with the archbishop, and Jamie’s marriage to Eddie is in jeopardy. Now that her father Armin is out of prison, she invites him to stay with her for a few days. She realizes that he would otherwise be forced to stay in a holding cell at the station. Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are only looking for David, an out-of-missing towner’s daughter. Frank learns of a priest who wants the NYPD to collapse during a quick talk with archbishop Kearns. Danny notices David passing out posters about his missing sister as the urgency grows by the second. As David puts it, she could die at any time due to her failing condition. At the riverbank, Anthony discovers a gun in an old case.
After a brutal raid on Father Mike MacDougal’s apartment, the archbishop is afraid. Because the Father spends most of his time outside the precinct organizing anti-police campaigns, Frank believes he is an easy target. The archbishop forcefully dials 911, claiming that he, like everyone else, has the right to free speech. Angie, the missing girl, is actually David’s stalker ex-fiancée, as Danny and Baez discover. Danny gets her an order of protection because she has been hiding from him all this time. Frank warmly welcomes Eddie into the family at dinner. David manages to seize Angie and proposes to her with a knife pointed at her. As Danny pursues him, David is involved in a car accident. Finally, the archbishop makes the decision to transfer MacDougal.
