The staple and family police drama Blue Bloods returns for a 13th season with NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) taking a stroll across the locations where his officers live and work rather than exactly on the wild side. Jamie asks Danny to look into a possible connection between a domestic violence case he’s investigating and the murder of one of Erin’s (Bridget Moynahan) important witnesses; it later comes out that the witness was Joe’s CI. But the family alliance goes horribly wrong. In Erin’s case, Andre, the enforcer of the defendant (Arturo Muoz, played by Juan Francisco Villa), kidnaps and kills his wife.
Jamie follows him down because he’s sick of being the silent one and not expressing about a judicial system that releases individuals like Andre who have been arrested. Andre starts firing when Danny and Joe arrive on the scene, but Jamie dodges the bullet to protect Danny and Joe. Instead of waiting for an ambulance, Danny slips it under his vest and drives him to the hospital. .The family and police officers converge at the hospital as planned, with the exception of Frank, who goes with Kearns without their phones to see how things are proceeding in precincts and churches
The doctor explains that there is a chance Jamie will become paralyzed even if the bullet is removed because it is close to his spine. Do they desire that a priest visit him? When they finally cross paths at a pub near the episode’s conclusion, once Erin is convinced Jamie will be okay, they are undeniably flirtatious. Jamie would try to sneak out of the hospital by a back door, but when Erin, Danny, and Eddie accompany him out that way, the NYPD policemen, medical staff, and nurses salute and praise him.
Kearns attends the Reagans for the first family meal of Season 13, which features a touching exchange in which Henry declares that having Jamie there is “a wonderful joy.” But who will provide the prayer? Kearns is encouraged to do so by Danny and Joe. Joe compares it to attending a Stones tribute event where, in the middle of the performance, Keith and Mick enter the stage, and Frank refers to him as the family’s “black sheep.” We enjoy these humorous aspects of Joe and Danny. Danny adds that the rest of them are lambs. Naturally, Frank is observing Jamie throughout grace.
