Blue Bloods [Collision Course] Spoilers

According to the synopsis for the fourteenth episode of Blue Bloods’ thirteenth season titled “Collision Course”, Frank will get into a heated argument with the former cop after Rachel Witten brings an action against an officer for using excessive force. Would the Reagans view Rachel Witten (Lauren Patten)  as an adversary now that she works as a social worker and regularly confronts law enforcement on behalf of the people she assists? In addition to this, he has a deep relationship with Witten. After firing her for no good reason, he later reinstated her, but it was too late for her to stay. Now, she is taking legal action against a police officer for using an unreasonable amount of force. Given her history with the department, it seems ironic. Nonetheless, Frank is opposed to the idea that law enforcement officers should be presumed guilty until their innocence can be established. As Eddie Reagan (Vanessa Ray) was Rachel Witten’s partner in the past, she shares Witten’s viewpoint, which will irritate many of the Reagans.

The most recent case that Danny and Baez are working on would benefit from the assistance of a social worker. An emotionally difficult foster child who is hesitant to participate with them. It is not apparent if this foster child should be considered a witness, a suspect, or a victim. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that she doesn’t trust the police.  In the meanwhile, Erin is forced to make a difficult choice about her political campaign. We can only hope that she’ll make the decision to give up. She doesn’t appear to be thrilled working in politics, but she shines when she’s helping Anthony with investigations.
