The episode began with a formal introduction ceremony, in which Dottie, the family matriarch, introduced the Wheelers to Abishola’s relatives — and she did it without speaking out of turn. Uncle Tunde then joined Bob for a meeting with Abishola’s father, Obafemi. Following Bob’s presentation of his case as Abishola’s suitor, he has given a bride price a sum of money or property paid by the groom. Bob, Douglas, and Tunde went to the local market to get all of the goods on her father’s shopping list, with Tunde emphasising the significance of choosing the appropriate yams.
Dottie, Ebunoluwa, Auntie Olu, and Christina, on the other hand, went dress shopping with Abishola. During the tour, Ebunoluwa got into an argument with Auntie Olu. The reception that followed was loud and colorful, culminating in the first dance between husband and wife. While vows aren’t part of a typical Nigerian ceremony, Abishola and Bob utilized the opportunity to make commitments to one another.
