Bob has a vision of his late father and converses with him while he continues to travel aimlessly and consider his destiny. His father acknowledges that he was never present since he spent all of his time working and abusing alcohol to make up for the voids in his life. Bob is adamant that he doesn’t want to commit the same error of dedicating his life to his work. Concerned Dottie dials Abishola, who sends Kemi on a hunt for Bob. They come upon Bob at his preferred coney dog stand, where Abishola scolds him fiercely for switching off his phone and queries how he could even consider leaving his work. As Goodwin is settling into his new office, Christina is obliged to let him go. Douglas wonders if he will still have a position at MaxDot because he and Dottie are not qualified to lead the company absent Bob. Kofo’s resume is discovered on the printer by Dottie, who furiously destroys it right in front of him. By unexpectedly inviting Goodwin to his MaxDot office, Bob surprises him. Bob asks Goodwin if he would want to be sitting in this office while he lies about how good things are running at Toesey-Woseys. Goodwin requests information while appearing uninterested. Bob then proposes to elevate himself to CEO while appointing Goodwin as MaxDot’s president, in charge of day-to-day operations. Goodwin agrees and leaves after informing Bob that he needs to get some paintings and photographs out of his car.
