Good news for those who like to watch the Sky comedy-drama series BRASSIC! Written and developed by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst the series is in the preparation process of its seventh season. It is planned that the shooting process will begin on November 30, 2024, in London.
BRASSIC is a black comedy about the life of a group of friends, Vinnie O’Neil, David, Haden and Gary, who live in a small Lancashire town and facing all the vicissitudes typical for men of their age. Being rich in humor, emotions and drama the show has become popular among the viewers throughout the UK. This show involves several characters and all the episodes of the seventh season seem to promise more spoof incidents whereby the gang is always in a fix.
Danny Brocklehurst, the show’s co-creator said, : “Season 7! How did this happen?!? Brassic is a delight to make and it’s a privilege to create more chaos for our loyal and loving audience.” Alex Moody, the head of the comedy commission at Sky Studios has also commented on this adding that, “We couldn’t be happier that Vinnie and the gang will return for another raucous ride, bringing heart, laughs and Farmer Jim’s unrivalled swear count back to Sky for a seventh series.”
David Livingstone, producer at Calamity Films, also shared his excitement: “It’s a great treat to be commissioned for a 50th hour of the madness that is Brassic. All of us cannot wait.”
While modern audiences wait for Season 7 there is much to come for the fans as season 6 has not yet been aired and is expected later this year. In the last episode of Season 5, Terence McCann (Ramon Tikaram) was depicted planning the assassination of Vinnie and the gang from prison. As sure as the sun rises, this is going to be a major development for the coming seasons.
Unfortunately, the moment offers only a brief insight into what season 6 has in store and that the main themes of friendship, loyalty, and growing up will likely to remain under focus while the main characters will continue making the audience laugh. Michelle Keegan as Erin, Tom Hanson as Cardi, Aaron Heffernan as Ash, Ryan Sampson as Tommo and Parth Thakerar as JJ form the main cast list where all the five main actors are likely to be cast again.
Since the series continued to receive positive reception at the end of volume 1, it can also be expected that Vinnie and his gang are not yet through with their antics. Viewers can expect a lot more of laugh, more of the mayhem and more of the sentiment when Season 7 is finally aired.
