Since the Shonda Rhimes-produced romance series premiered on Netflix, Bridgerton has been a huge hit. Netflix has confirmed that the hit program will return for a second season, though no specific premiere date has been set. The show is based on an eight-book series, with the second series focusing on Lord Anthony. Each book focuses on a different Bridgerton brother, thus we may have SEVEN more seasons of the program if this is the case.

Bridgerton Season 2 Release Date
Season 2 of Bridgerton premieres on Friday, March 25, 2022. The second season of Bridgerton will be available on Netflix.
The announcement comes on the one-year anniversary of the premiere of the first season. In Season 1, the sitcom chronicled Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) journey to love, which was inspired by Julia Quinn’s novels. (On the other hand, Regé-Jean Page, who played Daphne’s husband Simon Basset, will not be returning.) Now, just like in the second novel, it’ll be her elder brother Lord Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) time. The Viscount’s hunt, on the other hand, begins with a strategy to find a suitable wife in order to uphold the family name. And, until sisters Kate (Simone Ashley) and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) arrive from India, it appears that his search for a debutante who would match his unreasonable criteria is doomed.
Kate decides to end the relationship after learning his true objectives and that a true love match isn’t a priority while he courts her younger sister. However, the verbal sparring matches between Kate and Anthony only serve to pull them closer together, further complicating issues on both sides. Meanwhile, the Featheringtons must welcome the newest heir to their estate across Grosvenor Square, while Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) continues to navigate the tonne and keep her deepest secret from those closest to her — that she is Lady Whistledown, as revealed at the end of Season 1 — hidden from those closest to her.

What will happen in the second season of Bridgerton?
The Viscount Who Loved Me is the second book in the Bridgerton series. “The season has opened for the year of 1814, and there is little reason to believe that we will witness any noteworthy change from 1813,” the book’s official description states.
“The ranks of society are once again brimming with Ambitious Mamas whose sole goal is to marry off their Darling Daughters to Determined Bachelors. “According to the Mamas, Lord Bridgerton is this year’s most eligible catch, and if the poor man’s hair is ruffled and windblown, it’s because he can’t go anywhere without some young miss batting her eyelashes with such intensity and speed that a hurricane-force breeze is created.”
“Perhaps the only young girl who isn’t interested in Lord Bridgerton is Miss Katharine Sheffield, whose demeanor toward the viscount is occasionally antagonistic.” “And that is why, dear Reader, This Author believes a marriage between Anthony Bridgerton and Miss Sheffield would be just the thing to liven up an otherwise dull season.” — Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers, April 13, 1814.
