CBS New Drama “CLARICE” Based on “The Silence of the Lambs”

CBS announced today it has given a series commitment to CLARICE, a new drama based on a bestselling novel “The Silence of the Lambs”  the feature film earned five Academy Awards, including for Best Picture.

CLARICE was written and executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Secret Hideout’s Heather Kadin will also serve as an executive producer along with Aaron Baiers as a co-executive producer. The project will be produced by MGM and CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout.

Clarice M. Starling is a fictional character who appears in the novels The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal by Thomas Harris.

Bestselling novel, The Silence of the Lambs 1993, CLARICE is a profound jump into the untold individual story of Clarice Starling as she comes back to the field to seek after sequential killers and sexual stalkers while exploring the high stakes political universe of Washington, D.C.
