CHICAGO FIRE SEASON 12 EPISODE 10 RECAP
In the most recent episode of Chicago Fire, we learn more about the personal lives of our favorite firemen, with a focus on Herrmann and Kidd. Herrmann finds out that he can track his kids’ cell phones, which causes problems in the family. Kidd also has problems with her “Girls On Fire” show. Cruz is dealing with a possible threat to his adopted son Javi, and Violet is figuring out how to start a new friendship at work.
When Herrmann found out that he could track his kids’ phones, it made his already busy life even more complicated. His kids don’t like the idea, especially his daughter, who is sixteen. Herrmann is having a hard time balancing work and family. He wants to use this new tracking feature to keep an eye on his kids, especially since his wife is still getting better from cancer. But a fight with his wife makes it clear that tracking is not the answer, which causes some tense moments at home.
Kidd, on the other hand, is having trouble with her “Girls On Fire” program because CFD is thinking about cutting its funds. Kidd tries to get people in the community to support the program because she wants to make a change in the lives of these girls. But she has problems, like missing a chance to do an interview with the media that could have helped get the word out. Kidd is still determined to fight for the school and how it helps young girls who want to be firefighters, even with these problems.
At the same time, Cruz gets some scary news about Javi’s real uncle: he wants to meet him right away. Things get worse, though, when the uncle asks for money so that he won’t fight Javi’s adoption. Cruz worries about his son’s safety, so he investigates on his own and learns a troubling truth about a plot to harm adopted children. Cruz is able to stop the plan and make sure Javi is safe with the help of the police.
In a separate storyline, Violet is having a hard time dealing with her sadness over Brett’s death, which is stopping her from making new friends. However after having a talk with Carver, she chooses to take a chance and become friends with Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), the new paramedic at the firehouse. This choice turns out to be a good one because it helps Violet move on and might lead to a lasting bond.
At the end of the episode, Herrmann learns an important lesson about trust and how to respect the privacy of his family, and Kidd is happy about a win for her show. Cruz gets peace by taking care of his son, and Violet takes a step toward getting better and starting over.
