Chief Boden’s voice starts the scene by reading the “previously on” section. This emphasizes the idea that the job brings people together but costs them a lot personally. The story then moves on to a steamy moment in the shower between Severide and his wife, which is a very racy scene for the show.
Someone named Chippy rips Mouch’s name off of his locker, which makes things more tense at Firehouse 51. Herrmann gets very angry about it. But Mouch comes back after six months in rehab. He had been to Molly’s a lot, but this is his first time going back to work. For now, Firehouse 17 is sharing room with 51 because their own house is a mess.
