Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 11 Recap

Dr. Scott met with his former partner on Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 11 to discuss a man named Terrell whom he hadn’t seen in twelve years. He assumed the man’s son, Darius, had a fractured arm when he inspected him. They took the youngster to the hospital to have his arm examined. Scott, Terrell, and his wife, Carmen, used to be good friends, but their relationship is now tumultuous. The break necessitated the use of a plate, and the parents squabbled over Scott’s treatment. Terrell sought Dr. Archer’s advice, and he suggested surgery, citing his own son’s experience with the treatment. Archer discovered a benign growth in the boy’s arm during surgery, but Scott wanted to contact his parents and obtain their approval before proceeding. Terrell requested another doctor’s opinion, but because he was under anaesthesia, he didn’t have much time.

Scott tried to persuade him, but their history was thrust upon him. Scott snatched Carmen from him when he was a cop, and he was part of a team of cops that stormed a house and arrested him in the midst of the chaos. Terrell was enraged, but Scott pleaded with him and persuaded him to have the surgery for the sake of his son. Scott informed Carmen that her son needed to continue his treatment. Scott had warned Terrell to stay away from his family, and Terrell obeyed his advice… Dr. Randall Shintu came to see Goodwin regarding a class-action lawsuit filed by Avery Quinn’s (Dr. Blake’s daughter) law company against the hospital. She was wary of her doctors because they were named as defendants in the case. Shintu was only interested about avoiding a messy public opinion struggle in the media. Goodwin ultimately met with Avery to have her doctor’s name removed from her list, and then traded questions with herself. Maggie’s parents were excited to meet her after Dr. Taylor invited her over for dinner. Maggie was concerned and sought Goodwin’s advice; she was concerned about their perceptions of her. Maggie went to supper, and it wasn’t nearly as horrible as she had anticipated. West Tucker, a prominent football player in need of a liver transplant, was a high-priority patient who Dr. Shintu intercepted right away. Blake was direct in his questioning of him regarding his alcoholism. The surgeons were unable to perform the surgery since he had not been sober for at least six months. Shintu summoned the physicians to a meeting with Goodwin in order to persuade them to do the procedure.

In private, Goodwin defended their professional beliefs, whereas Shintu was primarily concerned with the hospital’s public image. Shintu presented the surgeons with an alternative: a live donor who volunteered to donate his organs, and the surgery would be performed by a different surgeon. Miles, Marcel’s prior patient, was a West Tucker fan and the volunteer. Marcel returned to Blake to do the procedure after questioning how certain the man was, and she consented. Even though there was a minor problem, the surgery went well. Hammer was in the lobby when Nadia, a young woman, stepped in and collapsed. When she examined the woman’s bottom, she discovered a large gash, as if she had undergone botched surgery! Dr. Charles was consulted by Hammer to determine if she had undergone any back alley surgery. They assumed she was sheltering someone, so she was nervous. Her father came to see her, and the doctors felt their conversation was strange. Nadia began to experience difficulties, and her father was quick to figure out what was happening.

Charles addressed the man, informing him that he was not her father, but rather her surgeon! Charles inquired about the man’s qualifications. He said that as a former Russian physician, he did fine job, but the implants he obtained on the underground market were substandard. That same day, he operated on another patient. Doctors raced to locate her. Halstead joined the squad in searching for Alexandria, who had passed out due to the poor implants. The woman required an emergency operation to extract the silicon! Because moving could jeopardise her life, Hammer confers with Halstead and instructs him to extract it in the mobile conveyance. The silicon began to shift, and she began to crash. The clock was ticking and their prospects were dwindling, but Halstead followed Hammer’s directions and stabilised the woman in time for transport! Dr. Charles addressed the deceased surgeon, who retorted that he would have sought it elsewhere. Charles admonished him for endangering their lives, and he was compelled to call the cops to have him arrested. Nadia was able to recover. Halstead invited Hammer to join him at the bowling alley. Then Hammer got the formal divorce papers, so they cancelled their bowling date…
