Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 12 Recap
The dump had John Doe’s skeleton. Voight and his squad were called in because they were investigating the gang. Pedro was later recognized. He and his cousin Miguel robbed a bakery and then stole a car. Blanca Consuela’s automobile was stolen. The car was eventually recovered at a cousin’s house, along with another cousin’s body, and a field test revealed heroin in the rear. Now they spoke to Los Tremidos’ inside woman. She doesn’t identify the cousins because they aren’t gang members and the automobile they stole is a transport vehicle. Sadly, the cousins stole from Chicago’s biggest gang. The team went hunting for Consuela hoping to acquire her side of the story and information on the gang, but she was found dead from a gunshot wound not long after trying to flee.
Consuela had to know the gang would come after her. She informed her partner she was running but never left Chicago. But her boyfriend remained. His name was Salsbury. He said someone with a pistol came to the house and would have killed him if he hadn’t given them everything. The hitman must’ve utilized the intel to find Consuela. When Voight asked his source who killed Consuela, she stated Paco did it. The team wanted Paco to turn evidence against the gang leader. They have enough evidence to convict Paco for life. Voight used his source again. A Los Tremidos fiesta for Anna. She was to find the rifle and deliver it. Anna wooed Paco. She got him to take her down. When his buddies arrived, she started hunting for him. She wasn’t snooping. But Anna recognized one and was terrified. She erred on the field. Voight raced in fearing Paco had grabbed her. He rushed in under the pretense that someone at the party had an outstanding warrant. She didn’t need their help. She talked herself out of a problem. Voight later spoke to Anna. She advised him not to do it again since she has everything under control, so Voight told Halstead. Should they keep Anna in the field? Halstead said so. He stated Anna is so enraged at the world she won’t make a mistake.
Voight chose Halstead. He kept Anna in the game and nearly killed her. Anna persuaded Paco to take her to the range. They threw bottles. She tried out his guns but didn’t acquire his glock, which was used in the murder. Anna questioned him. Anna argued she needed more than a pistol. Anna claimed to need the bathroom to make Paco chuckle. Instead, she went to his own shooting range. He had weapons. Paco saw her recording it on her camera. He shot her. He requested to know her employer. When the cops arrived, Paco tried to flee. The cops pursued him. They cornered him and arrested him. But Paco swore. He stated Anna died. He said she’s dead when he tells his boys about her. Voight thought of several ways to safeguard Anna. Nothing legal came to mind. He then looked to Halstead for help in finding a solution for Anna. They discovered Paco has a secret son. They threatened to imprison his baby mama if he didn’t keep Anna out of this and inform on his boss. No support from him for the second part. Paco stated the boss avoids all contact with the group. The gang had no method of tying him to the crimes, let alone testifying, and Paco didn’t have to testify because he was later slain in prison. That was it. Anna, meantime, told Voight. She described being drugged, beaten, and raped during her initiation. Every time she hears a familiar voice, she is transported back to that night. She really does, which is why she decided to work at Consuela’s old bakery.
