Kevin sees someone at the bar and they click. He goes home with her. On his route to her house, he stops at a drive-thru shooting scene. They suspect it was a mob shooting because one of the victims, Wiggins, found God and left the group. Kevin’s fling To protect Atwater’s cover, Ruzek visits Celeste. The shooting involved Celeste’s art program students. They go talk to her. They question Celeste but she won’t name anyone. Kevin volunteers to help Celeste. Kevin and Celeste converse. When she brings Kevin to visit Louis, the youngster who witnessed the shootings, they obtain a lead.
The remainder of the unit follows. Celeste wants to assist Louis and Kevin trim his tape. They storm the building and Celeste apologizes to Kevin. In the end, Kevin and Louis obtain sufficient evidence to bust Hubbard, who had the youngsters shoot. And they’re charging Louis as an adult when they have texts showing he knew where he was heading before the shooting. Upon arrival, Louis confesses to Kevin that he did not ditch the pistol. Eric, the boy’s pal, shoots him. Kevin finds the revolver and uses it to bring Hubbard in and lock him up when his prints are on it. Kevin goes to talk to Celeste, to tell the truth, But she is talking about cops and how bad they are, including the black ones. And he changes his mind.
