The CW’s reshape pilot is based on the 1987 Warner Bros. movie from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas. The Lost Boys follows a mother and her two Gen Z sons as they move back to her seaside hometown in North Carolina for a fresh start. However, they soon realize the town is overrun by dangerous vampires and the brothers find themselves on the opposite sides of a mythological struggle.
The Lost Boys Cast
Branden Cook plays Garrett, the older of the two brothers, who have moved with their mom to the North Carolina seaside community. He is a version of the Michael character in the movie, which was played by Jason Patric.
Lincoln Younes plays Benjamin, the charismatic leader of the gang of vampires in the North Carolina seaside town. It is a version of the David character played in the movie by Kiefer Sutherland.
Ruby Cruz plays Elsie, a version of Jami Gertz’s character Star in the movie, who she sparks with the new guy in town, Garrett (Cook).
The Lost Boys is one of four traditional pilots The CW ordered for 2020-21, joining political drama Maverick, CBS castoff The Republic of Sarah, and martial arts saga Kung Fu. The network also has backdoor pilots that would spinoff Arrow and The 100 if ordered.
Cook will next be seen in the upcoming HBO series Industry, from Lena Dunham. In addition to his role on the ABC summer drama, Younes has appeared on the likes of Love Child, Hiding, and Home and Away, while Cruz’s television credits include Blue Bloods.
