Dave Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

Last week’s Dave episode 205, Dave examines childhood friendships in the musical. Chase B and Travis Scott are two great examples. They grew up together, and have a global brand with Jack.  We’ve seen Elz and Dave (Dave Burd) chatting throughout Season 2, but clearly, something is amiss. Dave recounts the stories of Elz and his wild childhood adventures throughout the episode. A local family hires Lil Dicky (and his crew) to perform at their “bar mitzvah”. It’s not easy, but Elz and Dave’s friendship makes it difficult. The tension between Elz and Dave on the basketball court reaches an all-time high. The bar mitzvah man makes a sad video in an attempt to defuse the tension between Dave and Elz. So everything suddenly comes to a halt when Elz posts a hilarious clip. It seems that both are able to vent their anger.

Also as we see, Hype man Gata (Gata) drives through Los Angeles as his car is in tow and his phone is dead. Dave can’t help but the episode also stars director Ben Sinclair, who is back, and some excellent performances by Burd and Bennett. Allie is still trying to mend her friendship with Dave. Bijuneh appears to be working closely with Sinclair this season. There was a lot of material in this episode, but the end result was spectacular. When Elz and Dave, despite being out on their paychecks, reminisce about the glory days of their childhood bar mitzvahs. This street, er, floor, is left open for bar mitzvah boys to perform and also sing to protect it.
