The Bullet Blondes attempt to cover up J. Edgar Hoover’s death. Gary concocts a concoction that allows Nate to take over as FBI Director. Sara and Ava go to Constantine’s mansion in the pocket universe, which is also home to Zari, Astra, Spooner, and Gloria. Zari enlists the help of Ava to deal with her breakup. Meanwhile, the women endeavor to figure out who was responsible for the Waverider’s destruction. Elsewhere, The Bullet Blondes’ remaining members board a train to New York. A group of Investigators, on the other hand, comes and pauses the train to investigate a possible kidnapping.
Nate thinks quickly and deduces that the agents are posing as FBI agents dispatched by mobster Al Capone to apprehend Hoover. Nate is apprehended, but the agents learn the truth about Hoover’s death once Gary’s pill wears off. The agents are paid by the Bullet Blondes in exchange for Nate’s freedom. However, a Hoover impersonator ambushes them and fires. Sara reappears and defeats Hoover, who is actually a robot, thanks to her assistance. Gideon is having trouble adjusting to her human shape and is having trouble speaking. Spooner is eventually able to restore Gideon’s speech, only to hear from the former AI that if the Legends do not meet Gwyn Davies on time, they would perish.
