FBI Most Wanted Season 3 Episode 12 Recap

LaCroix and his squad were tasked with finding escaped criminal Estevan Maldonado. His supermax prison escape was well-planned and executed. It wasn’t his first. Maldonado escaped twice. He always goes there. He’s impenetrable there. Maldonado is accompanied by a guard. The guard killed his wife before fleeing with Maldonado, so he won’t betray him. Affluent Maldonado He’s a drug lord. He admires loyalty. His mother abandoned him when he was seven, and he bounced through orphanages until the cartel took him in. So he values loyalty. Maldonado pays everyone to keep them loyal. Even the cheetah’s. But Maldonado went against the grain, or in his case, acted out. He killed the prison priest. But the priest, who was found dead by LaCroix’s crew, was sending him messages from behind bars. Again, not Maldonado. Everyone assumed it was his guard. Simich! Deputy Simich even took him to a friend’s house where he found his wife and daughter. They held the terrified women captive. Simich desired the woman’s automobile. Maldonado shot him as he tried to flee. He shot him because he couldn’t afford everyone to find out they were gay. Maldonado evidently valued image over loyalty. The squad didn’t know this and chased those they thought he still cared about. They found his plane. They seized. They took Maldonado’s girlfriend. His girlfriend had a kid while he was in prison, and she was ready to ditch it to join Maldonado at any time. She dreaded him.

Barnes could see it in other women’s faces, but she couldn’t assist them because she couldn’t. Maldonado was scary. Before switching automobiles, he raped a woman. He was so nervous about his sexuality that having a wife and a mistress didn’t help him feel better. But, again, the team was looking for him. They trailed Maldonado. They were behind because a traitor in their ranks sent them on a false lead. The traitor was a DEA agent. He also fathered Emiliana’s child. He stated he couldn’t stop falling in love, but he had to send his son away to protect him from the cartel. But they couldn’t get him to talk, so they had to toss him in prison. He’ll probably die soon. But the club saw where Maldonado was going now that he had no other options. He’d go to the tunnels. The same tunnels that transport drugs into the US. Now that the rogue DEA agent was gone, the team searched for an access to the tunnels and located one beneath a nunnery. The group went. It took them a while to find Maldonado, but he had taken a nun prisoner. Luis took Maldonado there. Maldonado grabbed Gaines. He had a gun and could have killed her. To kill her for refusing to help him. Gaines has been kidnapped previously. She was drugged, raped, and tormented while undercover. So she knew Maldonado couldn’t break her. She’s already made it. Gaines used a knife to defeat Maldonado. No, she didn’t kill him. She nabbed him. Gaines had never mentioned being imprisoned before, so she told her ex-husband. She advised him not to be ashamed of his newfound freedom. She was over him. Keeping secrets or instructing the kids to keep secrets is forbidden. So she eventually revealed her deepest secret. Gaines felt liberated after finally expressing herself.
