In Season 2, Episode 7 of Fire Country, the Three Rock Conservation Camp faces closure due to an accident and protests. Luke is told to close down the camp, and even though Eve (Jules Latimer), Manny (Kevin Alejandro), and Vince (Billy Burke) try to save it, Luke (Michael Trucco) chooses not to fight for it. When Three Rock closes, things change a lot for the people and the future of the camp.
After the dramatic events of Episode 7, which saw the closure of Three Rock Conservation Camp, Episode 8, titled ‘It’s Not Over,’ raises questions about the future of the camp. Station 42 and Three Rock work together to put on Edgewater’s 22nd Annual Firefighters’ Ball. They want to make a good impression on the governor, (Catherine Lough Haggquist), and keep the camp going.
“People have problems with prisoners living in their neighborhood without fences,” says Tia Napolitano, the show’s executive director. Eve, Three Rock’s captain, takes charge as the firemen change out of their uniforms and into suits and fancy dresses. She wants to impress the visiting governor. Napolitano says that the prisoners, including Max Thieriot‘s Bode, also show up to show that they are leaders and good people who can help the community. Bode and Three Rock’s lives are linked because the camp helped Bode become the best part of himself.
FIRE COUNTRY: MEET GABRIELA’S MOTHER, ROBERTA
At the same time, Gabriela’s mother, Roberta is coming to town, which means more family trouble. Paola Nunez plays Gabriela’s mom and Manny’s ex wife Roberta, in Fire Country. Not much is known about her other than the fact that she broke up with Manny when Gabriela was younger. Gabriela feels bad that Roberta left them, so much so that she thinks about not asking her to her wedding. Gabriela, her fiancé Diego (Rafael de la Fuente), and her ex-lover Bode are all in a love triangle, which is made worse by Roberta’s appearance. How Roberta acts around Gabriela, Manny, Diego, and Bode will have a big impact on her future in Gabriela’s life, including whether she gets asked to the wedding. Roberta’s attendance at the Firefighters’ Ball in Episode 8 hints that she will cause more trouble and may reveal what she has been up to and her reason for being at the Ball.
