Five Days at Memorial Episode 7: Schafer and Rider uncover new evidence

Five Days At Memorial Episode 6 Recap ’45 Dead,’

Police Virginia Rider (Molly Hager) and Butch ask Dr. Baltz (Michael Gaston) in the first scene of the episode why the 45 were dead there. He makes an attempt to explain how the circumstances led to choices that never should have been made. Next season’s Emmy nominations ought to include the original opening card/song because it is an absolute masterpiece. According to the news reports, this is the worst natural disaster to ever affect the US. Then, we hear people complain that their living conditions are worse than those in prison. Listen to President Bush discuss the necessity to examine decision-making as well. or a lack of leadership from the top. As Butch makes his way to his destination in Baton Rouge, he notices a large number of people camping up all over the city’s streets. At this point, he learns that they require him to look into the 45 unidentified bodies at Memorial. They are interested in what happened and why it transpired the way it did. To find out who he has to speak to in order to obtain the list of patients who have passed away, Butch starts making calls. They would answer as soon as they could. The man on the phone didn’t like Butch’s tone and asked him to put it in writing.

The encounter between Butch and Virginia follows, during which he talks to her about the matter. Regarding how to approach this given the circumstances, there was a great deal of misunderstanding. His interest was piqued, though, by the man on the phone. Dr. Anna Pou (Vera Farmiga) allegedly gave their patients morphine, and Lifecare, a unit of that Memorial Hospital, claimed in a letter that the victims were killed because they wouldn’t survive. A doctor approaches Dr. Anna Pou as she is eating lunch and invites her to meet them at LSU because Memorial won’t be opening anytime soon. She claims she would do anything to resume working. Next, we go on to Susan and a few of their other employees, who will need to call these families to let them know that they have passed away. They are informed that the absence of electricity and the extreme heat caused their deaths.

Those who must make these calls and read from a list of prepared responses include Susan and Dr. Karen Wynn (Adepero Oduye ). Each of the doctors and nurses who are answering these calls starts to feel the strain. Dr. Anna Pou is then seen on television discussing the patients and providing some background information. How they tried their utmost to soothe each of them individually. Resuming our conversation with Butch and Virginia, she advises them to visit Memorial to see the hospital for themselves. He finds the notion intriguing because they might discover certain items that aren’t being provided. Strict instructions are given to Butch and Virginia, telling them they cannot enter the Memorial without a warrant or a hazmat suit.

Five Days At Memorial -Episode 6 Recap

After learning that the murders are being probed, a CNN producer contacted Dr. Anna after noticing her appearance to let her know they wanted to hear her side of the story. As a result, Dr. Pou makes contact with Susan to give her a call and explain all that happened. Susan was unaware that they were under investigation. Dr. Pou is unsure about what to do next, and Susan advised her to wait till someone would call her. To find out if they had received the news and if one of his patients, Helena, was on the list of those who had passed, Dr. Baltz phones a person. He claims to the person on the phone that he merely took her in as a precaution and that she wasn’t in a life-threatening situation. But once he left the hospital, nobody could tell him who was in charge. Dr. Pou calls Dr. Cook to inquire about his knowledge and learns that he won’t speak to her or the media.

To learn more about Dr. Anna, Butch visits a nurse’s home. She informs him that she was the first person to leave the hospital with the infant. Butch sobs as he explains that his daughter recently went away as a result of being given too much medication; if the doctors had been more like her, she could still be alive. Wow, we’re about to witness Michael Gatson’s portrayal of Butch do a tonne of very fantastic work. The communications manager of Tenant calls Dr. Anna on the phone. Instead of speaking on her cell phone, he instructs her to call her back from a landline. To deliberate their next steps, the council is on the phone with the director. The council wants Dr. Anna Pou to summarise all the circumstances surrounding the hurricane’s impact in order to provide direction on how to go forward. She then started to describe what happened in full detail.

The council reacted by saying they were interested in knowing all that occurred on the fifth day. Dr. Anna questioned how they would handle her case before she went into any information about what had happened. They responded that they couldn’t offer any assistance but would highly suggest she to get her own attorney. Dr. Anna informs them that she will no longer be answering questions until she hires a counsel as they start to inquire about the day. Dr. Anna locates a lawyer for herself. He warns her that every word she says will be scrutinised. She is not allowed to speak to her husband in any more interviews or discussions. She did nothing wrong, says Dr. Pou again. Her lawyer assures her that he would look after her going ahead.

Virginia and Butch are on their way to see Ms. Diane Robichaux (Julie Ann Emery), one of the nurses, to find out why Lifecare’s attorneys wanted to speak with her. She then describes the specifics of the hospital’s setup before recalling the encounters with Susan (Cherry Jones) and Dr. Anna Pou, including what occurred to Emmett. Virginia then inquires as to whether she believes Dr. Anna Pou has given any orders to kill anyone, but she is unable to recall anything more specific than her releasing them from their obligation. Diane feels terrible and thinks that her patients were murdered. Virginia and Butch adjourn the meeting, and Butch claims she was not informed of any patients being put to death, which doesn’t exactly help the situation. He does, however, desire to speak with more Lifecare patients. Then, at the hospital where she is currently employed, we observe Dr. Anna Pou performing surgery on a patient. Finally, we witness her telling the family that the patient’s treatment was successful. Returning to Virginia and Butch, they are interrogating Ms. Mendez, the Lifecare nursing executive. They started by asking her about her memories of her stay in the hospital and then spoke with Ms. Johnson, a physical therapist from Lifecare.

In an effort to learn what actually transpired in those last few seconds, interviews with both of these persons were montage-style, covering everything from breaking down what they did to learn that they weren’t going to assist them being without food and water. Ms. Mendez recalls her final conversation with Dr. Anna Pou, in which she predicted that they wouldn’t live. Lethal doses were given out, according to Dr. Anna Pou. Virginia coerces her into divulging the nature of the medications. Dr. Anna Pou was with him when Ms. Melendez, Ms. Johnson, and Dr. Anna Pou hurried upstairs to check on Emmett as they prepared to board the boat. No matter what either of them said at the time, they were unable to substantiate that they had actually seen Dr. Anna Pou give the patients anything. Butch is interrogating Mr. Nakamura, who served as the pharmacist on the last day, as the program comes to a close. He informed them that Dr. Anna had stated that deadly amounts will be administered to patients before outlining the medications they would be taking. I’ve never seen a doctor or nurse inject a patient, though. He did, however, observe her place the syringes in a plastic bag after which she requested him to look at the patient and remove the covers off the deceased. The fact that those patients were murdered, he claims, can be drawn from no other evidence.
