Ghosts Season 2 Episode 18 Recap
New guest Alicia Walker has a connection to the Woodstone Manor’s resident ghost, Alberta. Isaac, the handyman, makes fun of Sam, the innkeeper since Alicia is acting like she has a full schedule of appointments when she really doesn’t. Later, Alicia tells Alberta that they were related through their great-grandmother, and Alberta is overjoyed to finally meet her.
Meanwhile, another ghost named Nigel drops hints about Hetty and Trevor’s affair, which angers Hetty to the point where she turns on Trevor. Alicia attended law school and is currently single after being interviewed by Sam on behalf of Alberta. She also recounts an incident in which Alberta knocked someone out during a performance and kept right on going.
Todd, a new arrival whom the spirits do not take well to, is invited to Sam’s podcast despite their objections. If Trevor moves in with Nigel, Nigel will keep his affair with Hetty a secret. Hetty manages to persuade Trevor, against his will, to relocate to the library.
Alberta is taken aback by how quickly and passionately Alicia and Todd begin to flirt with one another. It is the spirits’ belief that Sam is to blame for Todd’s actions, and they push her to tell Alicia the truth. Afterward, Hetty resolves to face Nigel about her romance with Trevor after telling the spirits about it.
Alicia decides not to date Todd after Sam shares some embarrassing stories about him over dinner. She opts to follow her passion and seek a career in music instead. Alicia mentions that she sings in a wedding band during the podcast session, and Alberta joins her onstage to sing a song from the band’s repertoire.
At last, the murder podcast crew gets together to record the next episode, whereupon it is revealed that Earl dated Alicia’s great-grandmother “Reese,” and that the current assumption is that Alberta’s sister killed her. The spirits are always trying to counsel Alberta on how to feel about Alicia’s choice.
