Isaac’s Relationship with His Wife Beatrice
An important part of Isaac’s life is his beloved Wife Beatrice (Hillary Anne Matthews). He used to call Beatrice a “handsome woman.” She called him “Cricket.” They slept in different bedrooms to “keep their flame alive,” which was not the normal way to do things, but Isaac and Beatrice had a deep connection that went beyond time and death. Beatrice was with Isaac in his last moments. She brought him his uniform and called him “Cricket.”
Nigel and Isaac’s Relationship
Nigel (John Hartman) is a lieutenant colonel in the King’s Army and a veteran of the Revolutionary War. We don’t know much about his personal life or time in the service, but he and Isaac were rivals and felt attracted to each other, but they never did anything about it.
Nigel’s life took a dramatic turn when Isaac killed him by mistake while looking at him through a rifle scope. At first, Nigel thought Isaac had killed him with a sniper rifle, but 250 years later, he accepted Isaac’s apology. To keep the peace, they started “parlaying” often, and in the end, Nigel forgive Isaac. As their relationship grew emotionally, Nigel finally agreed to let Isaac move into the house with him.
Their friendship grew in Season 2, but they didn’t get physically together. They had a rough patch when Isaac turned down Nigel’s request to kiss him under the mistletoe, but they made up later in “The Christmas Spirit Part Two”. Nigel and Jenkins were seeing each other, which caused trouble, but Nigel and Isaac stayed close. At first, Nigel didn’t like Isaac’s plan to spend his book advance on a couch, but Isaac later asked Nigel to marry him, and they said yes.
In episode 3 of “Ghosts Season 3,” Isaac and Nigel’s wedding plans were the main focus. However, things get more difficult when Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) offers to help plan their wedding. Because of what happened to her in the past, she suggested a prenup, which made the couple angry. But as they deal with these problems, they also learn what’s important to them in their relationship. As the season goes on, there will be more drama and fun linked to the wedding, leading up to the big event at the end of the season.
The final episode of Ghosts’ season will air on May 2 at 8:31 PM ET/PT on CBS and will also be available to watch on Paramount+.
