When Beth (Christina Hendricks) prepares for her campaign for the city council, Dave and Phoebe tell Beth, that she is needed to win the seat to bring down Nick and Rio. Everyone expects Beth to win the election. That would mean Rio’s arrogance and stinking arrogance are gone! Although the process is tedious and exhausting it’s not impossible for Beth to have high hopes. Dean (Matthew Lillard) tells the lawyer about Beth’s new political venture. They claim to have the county DA supporting them in the event she wins. She would also have been more likely to win if Denise Carpenter wasn’t running for City Council.
Kenny (Braxton Bjerken) is in trouble at school for his graffiti. Beth incorporates street cleaning into her campaign. As she explains her position to the media Ruby (Retta), Annie (Mae Whitman) and, Mick plaster some buildings with their colorful artwork. Rio shows up to mock Beth for making a friend with Nick (Ignacio Serricchio). He tries to help his cousin realize that it isn’t always about her. Beth intensifies the rally by cleaning the streets and decorating them in colorful art. Dean sees a familiar face in the frame after seeing her awe-inspiring campaign.
Denise Carpenter (Ever Carradine) is running for the city council. She was one of the women who attempted to stop the club from reopening. Annie, Ruby, and Beth approach. Ruby as she speaks at her press conference. She says that the city cannot give the seat away to a woman who doesn’t agree with our values. Denise feels threatened by the grandiosity of the rival rally. Beth appears to be getting an advantage over her competitors until Denise offers Beth a job. Dean’s legal troubles are used as leverage by Beth, suggesting that Beth should quit the race and instead work for Denise.
Beth wants Phoebe (Lauren Lapkus) to return the cash plate. She could also tell the agent that she lost it. Mick (Carlos Aviles) and Beth later storm into Denise’s home to intimidate her. She quickly retracts her statements and promises Dean to stay out of this matter. Dean, on the other hand, tries to determine if the evidence reached the DA County. Rio (Manny Montana) eventually returns the money he took from Beth. However, Dean is watching the whole scene with one of his lawyer-mates.
