In the May 5 episode, Dr. Montgomery will return. Walsh announced the news on TikTok, where he used music from “SpongeBob SquarePants,” in which someone emerges in front of the camera wearing one thing, backs away, then returns wearing something other. Walsh emerges in this case dressed casually before going around the corner and reappearing in a white doctor’s coat. Walsh captioned the photo, “I’m back in uniform, and that can only mean one thing.” Walsh teased viewers with speculation over whether she will return for more than one episode or in a more regular role.
It’s not the first time Walsh has returned to “Grey’s Anatomy” since her character left in 2007 to start her own show, “Private Practice.” The spin-off aired for six seasons before being canceled in 2013. Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 14 Recap
Bailey attempted to phone Meredith for her scheduled operations of the day, but she was unable to do so due to her illness and the fact that she was spending time at home with Zola. Dr. Webber, meantime, stepped out because he wasn’t sure if he wanted to go ahead with the procedures until his assessment results came back. Owen noticed Bailey’s distress at the doctor shortage and offered to take over as Chief for the day, handling the scheduling and other tasks so she could step in and perform some of the procedures, which she gladly accepted. On the other side, a little girl with a rare heart ailment named Fiera arrived at the hospital for the surgery that Maggie and Winston were about to perform. However, her condition had already deteriorated significantly, making the scenario even more dangerous. Winston’s younger brother Wendell visited the hospital in the meantime, which came as a surprise to Winston because he hadn’t seen him in years. When Winston watched Wendell pitching a product from his company to Owen, which he seemed to like, things between the two became a little tangled.
Furthermore, he discovered that Wendell had applied for the job using his name and was attempting to advertise his goods in the hospital using his connections. Wendell, on the other hand, assured him that he wasn’t doing anything wrong. Maggie could tell that this incident had an emotional impact on Winston later on. Winston eventually told her that when his mother was diagnosed with cancer, his brother Wendell and his father were not at all sympathetic, which made matters worse for her. He cleared his mind after talking it over with Maggie, and the two-headed into the OR to undertake the major and dangerous procedure. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and Fierra now had a whole new life ahead of her. Owen, on the other hand, received a visit from a member of the accreditation council after many complaints concerning the hospital’s residency program, including long work hours and other issues, were lodged. Finally, we see Owen conveying the news to Bailey that the council is considering terminating the residency program.
