Freeform never shy away from social justice issues. In episode 5 of Grownish Season 4, white men addressed the topic of shooting unarmed black men. Doug jogs after his exhaustion, takes something cold to quench his thirst, finishes his shopping, and then goes for a run. In Virginia, two white officers shot and killed an unarmed black man, Marcus Jennings. Kiki, Zoey (Yara Shahidi), and Aaron (Trevor Jackson) are shocked to learn that a police officer in another city has murdered an innocent and unarmed black boy on his way to school. Doug (Diggy Simmons) decided to protest and it was followed by a grim scroll listing the names of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

Next week, Grow-ish will focus on the protest in Season 4, Episode 6 titled “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can Sight”. Zoey, along with several other characters, will investigate the effects of a police officer shooting an unarmed black man. They’ll hit the streets. And the story doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. It’ll affect the characters for several weeks and possibly even further. And we might get some emotional relics. Watch prom below.

Grown-Ish Season 4 Episode 6 Release Date

Grown-Ish Season 4 Episode 6 will release on Thursday, August 12 at 8 PM. on freeform. Grown-ish airs in Canada on ABC Spark, in select international territories, the series will be available on Disney+ as an original series under the dedicated streaming hub Star.
