Catherine gets a call at the beginning of the episode reporting that some bad guys have thrown a microwave at their car. In quick succession, she overhears a radio announcement that workers have discovered skeletal remains in a dried-up reservoir. Catherine immediately arrives on the site and inspects the skeletal remains, which include a metal plate and a bullet hole in the skull. She verifies that these are indeed human bones they are sifting through.
Meanwhile, H Met officers show up at Tommy Lee Royce’s house and arrest him on murder charges related to Gary James Gackowski. Tommy claims in the interview that he did not know the victim and that he did not tell Nazam Miraf, another convict, about his involvement in the murder. Tommy assumes Nazam and the chaplain are working together in prison. Ballistic evidence links the 9mm Glock found in the reservoir to another killing, and as the inquiry continues, it becomes clear that the murder weapon was recovered from the reservoir. Andy Shepherd of the DSU thinks Tommy might spill the beans about the murder and help them track down Darius Knezevic, who allegedly had Tommy killed.
