Heels Season 1 Episode 4 Recap
We saw trouble is developing for Wild Bill (Chris Bauer) in this episode. The fourth episode begins on an unfavorable note for Wild Bill. In fact, following a meeting about a revolutionary new design for a title belt, he is suspended from his work. Bill’s manager urges him to attend a press conference while his sponsors deal with the fallout. The house of Staci (Alison Luff), Thomas, and Jack catch fire owing to squirrels nibbling on the electrical cables. Staci, who is in a panic, decides to look for work before the house falls apart totally. Jack enlists Eddie’s help in putting his social media strategy into action, but Eddie is concerned about money, which irritates Jack.
Back at the league, Bobby talks with Crystal (Kelli Berglund) about coming up with a new gimmick for himself. He’s undecided about the best course of action, and the strange mash-up of rap and country doesn’t fit Bobby’s persona. In fact, Crystal decided to play up the nostalgia effect by creating “Bobby ’85” with Bobby’s mullet and cheery demeanor. Bobby (Trey Tucker) owes Crystal a huge debt of gratitude for her assistance. He’s determined on telling Jack that she’s to blame, even though she agrees to change it so that it’s just Bobby and no 85. Despite Ace’s outspoken criticism, Bobby feels appreciative and overjoyed at the same time. Bill understands he has been fired from the corporation, and Willie becomes the target of his ensuing rage.
Jack finally permits his brother to develop content for the advertising after an emotionally draining sequence involving past regrets and a great deal of sorrow. As they try to promote their rivalry, Bobby and Ace get into furious fights, but just for the cameras. When Ace sees Bobby and Crystal wrestling on the trampoline, the barrier between in-ring and real life starts to blur even more. He keys Bobby’s car out of envy, which is further made worse by Crystal’s earlier rejection of their plans to celebrate together. Ace regrets his prior behavior with Crystal, but he loses his calm when he sees her with Bobby. Wild Bill begins to spiral out of control as Ace attempts to contain his emotions. He’s in the motel, having consumed a large amount of alcohol and eventually standing atop the roof, screaming at the top of his lungs, reiterating that he’s Wild Bill.
