As the tension has increased in recent weeks leading up to the season 1 finale of the Game of Thrones prequel, we have been led to assume that the War of the Targaryens has officially begun. However, this is not the case. Because the rulers of Westeros disregarded the late king’s wish for his first-born daughter Rhaenyra (played by Emma D’Arcy) to succeed him on the Iron Throne in favor of his abhorrent eldest son Aegon (played by Ton Glynn-Carney), they sowed the seeds of a conflict that is destined to be resolved in a manner that is spectacular during Season 2. This conflict will be resolved.

House of the Dragon Episode 10 Recap: The Black Queen
The tenth episode of the first season of House of the Dragon has not yet been broadcast. As soon as it happens, tvacute.com will provide a comprehensive recap on this page. Till then you read what we know, In the opening scene of HOTD Episode 10, Daemon informs a pregnant Rhaenyra that Viserys has passed away and Aegon II has been king. She gives birth to a warped dragon-child after going into preterm labor. To make the Kingsguard on Dragonstone pledge allegiance to Rhaenyra, Daemon deploys Caraxes. Just before Rhaenyra receives the Viserys crown that Rhaenys stole (Aegon II is crowned with Aegon I’s crown), a funeral is performed for their stillborn child. There is a first Black Council. Otto Highwater shows up on Dragonstone offering her ‘great terms’ in exchange for her swearing before Aegon as her new king. He adds that Luke may keep Driftmark as well. As a memento of their previous friendship, Queen Alicent sends Rhaenyra a page from a book that she read together in the premiere episode. Daemon is enraged that no one informed him earlier when Rhaenyra informs him in private in the council room that she is debating peace over war because the House must prepare for the looming threat from the north. He discharges a lifetime of feeling to the beach.
When Corlys has fully recovered from his injuries, Rhaenys pledges his support for Rhaenyra. Jace expresses his belief that the Greens won’t hold onto the terms for an extended period of time during their conversation with Rhaenyra regarding the terms. Plans are arranged to talk with Lord Cregan Stark, Lord Borros Baratheon, and Lady Jeyne Arryn, and Jace and Luke offer to personally deliver the message on a dragonback. Daemon sings to Vermithor (the dragon of Jaehaerys I), promising him he will find a new rider, and Rhaenyra reluctantly agrees.
Rhaenyra sends her sons out Lucerys finds Vhagar at Storm’s End and Aemond there, demanding an eye. Borros breaks up the battle but allows Aemond to follow him outside, where a dragon duel takes place and Lucerys and Arrax are both killed. Lucerys couldn’t control Arrax, and Dragon Arrax disobeyed Lucerys and attacks Vhagar. As a result, Arrax and his rider Lucerys fell high above the sky.. Aemond didn’t want to murder Lucerys at Storm’s End in George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, unlike in House of the Dragon. Aemond’s expression in the House of the Dragon season 1 conclusion suggests that murder wasn’t the goal of the man who intended to terrify, bully, and steal his eye as retaliation.
End of Season 1: Daemon informs Rhaenyra about Luke’s passing, and she displays war in her eyes. Jake was not visible, Jeyne and Cregan were cast for Season 2, and his objective will be revealed in the upcoming premiere.
