House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 7 Photos: Laena’s Funeral

Ten years after the events of episode 5, House of the Dragon‘s sixth episode opens up with Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke replacing Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively. The Season 1 finale will be in just four more episodes. Fans of the HBO flagship series Game of Thrones are well aware that the season finale can be quite intense. “Driftmark,” the title of the upcoming Episode 7, was directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who served as the showrunner for Season 1 before leaving the undertaking.

When both sides of the family gather for Laena Velaryon’s burial, tensions between Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent (Olivia Cooke) are bound to increase. House of the Dragon marks Viserys and Daemon’s reunion. The images below feature Laena’s mother Rhaenys (Eve Best), her daughter Baela (Shani Smethurst), and her uncle Vaemond (Wil Johnson). Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), is back and gazing at Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) for no apparent reason.
