Michael Sarnoski, who directed “Pig” and “A Quiet Place: Day One,” will direct “The Death of Robin Hood.” Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer will play in the movie.
In most stories, Robin Hood is shown as a happy criminal. But this movie takes a darker approach, showing Robin Hood as a battle-weary loner who is trying to deal with his past of crime and murder. After getting badly hurt, Robin Hood is saved by an unknown woman who gives him a chance to make things right.
The movie “The Death of Robin Hood” will start filming in February 2025. “Finding the perfect cast to bring the script to life on screen was essential,” director Sarnoski said of his excitement about re-telling the classic story. I’m so excited and believe Hugh and Jodie will bring this story to life in a powerful and important way.
Hugh Jackman is famous for playing Wolverine, but he has also been in a lot of other great movies and plays, including “The Greatest Showman” and “Les Misérables,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar. Famous for her part in “Killing Eve,” Jodie Comer has also been in Ridley Scott’s “The Last Duel” and will be in “The Bikeriders” with Austin Butler and Tom Hardy.
The whole budget for “The Death of Robin Hood” comes from Lyrical Media. Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett, and Alexander Black are in charge of production. WME Independent will handle sales rights for the movie all over the world.
