He then goes to drown his sorrows in an empty tavern. This is the first time he encounters Casper. Casper, on the other hand, isn’t having the best of days. When he goes home to find his mother dead, the victim of a slimy alien, he decides to wage war on the aliens. Trevante appears to be a capable expedition bodyguard, but he must be persuaded. He agrees to take him to the hospital after discovering Casper’s sketchbook, which is full of scribbles portraying his unit’s insignia and other bizarre things. Aneesha is now involved in a love triangle with Ahmed and the conveniently divorced Dr. Barton.
The more intriguing aspect of this is Luke and another kid named Jack exploring a “scary” part of the university that the soldiers don’t want anyone to see, and Aneesha finds him there holding that space shank up to one of the corpses, it’s a morgue and causing some sort of reaction between it and the alien. Mitsuki, who bullies her way into leading the communication team entrusted with making contact with that peculiar signal, manages to bring up a topic by transmitting a slew of video files of Hinata, does the same. At the end of “Contact,” Mitsuki receives a phone call, which she answers with a desperate “Hinata?” so maybe she’s onto something. In any event, it appears that it is far too late.
