‘Iron Chef: The Quest for an Iron Legend’ is a television series about a chef who goes on a search to find an iron legend. The fiery food fight began in Japan in 1993 and lasted until 2018 in various versions (including foreign spin-offs). And, after a few years of dormancy, Netflix’s impending remake, Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, set to premiere on June 15, has reignited the fires of Kitchen Stadium. The new Iron Chef teaser gives fans their first look at the resurrected show. The knives are out, and they’re as sharp as they’ve ever been. Let’s get ready for the largest fight this kitchen has ever witnessed.
The Iron Chef chairman (Mark Dacascos) declares, “Let’s ready for the largest war this kitchen has ever seen.” Not true. Alton Brown (returning from Iron Chef America) and Kristen Kish explain the show’s new moniker in the teaser.

The teaser begins with co-hosts Alton Brown (returning from the previous Iron Chef America era) and Top Chef winner Kristen Kish explaining why Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend has a new, shinier name.
While the majority of the new Iron Chef follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, with challengers competing against one of five Iron Chefs, the show’s finale adds a whole new dimension to the competition’s palette. The top challenger will compete against all of the famous Iron Chefs, including Ming Tsai, Curtis Stone, Dominique Crenn, Marcus Samuelsson, and Gabriela Cámara, in the grand finale. Only then will someone be able to claim the title of Iron Legend.
The sneak peek shows that the Iron Chef battle will be heated, with contestants trash-talking and chopping with equal abandon while preparing beautiful dishes. Danny Trejo and OG Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, among the guest hosts, are ecstatic to be witnessing the food war up to and personal.
