We observed glimpses of chemistry between Kevin Kreider and Kim Lee in the first season of Bling Empire, but Kevin was interested in another Bling Empire cast member, Kelly Mi Li, at the time. The second season begins with hints of a developing romance between Kevin and Kim, the cool-girl DJ Kevin loathed at the start of the series. When they first met, he told EW, “I hated her.” “I just couldn’t stand her.” In season two, Kevin and Kim’s flirtation becomes a major plot point.
There are no spoilers here, but it’s evident from the trailer that things between them aren’t always easy: Kim tells Kevin, “I hate it when people lie to me,” and another scene shows Kevin yelling angrily at Kane, “You had to tell her?” probably referring to Kim. “I’m going to have to get over the fact that Kevin dated all these girls,” Kim is heard saying.
The Cast of ‘Bling Empire’: Where Are They Now?
Let’s fast forward to today, over a year after filming. Season 2 of Bling Empire contains spoilers. Kevin and Kim are both active on Instagram (obviously) and have given interviews about the upcoming season, so let’s get started. Kevin remarked in an interview with People that viewers will see more of him than “the dumb ditzy guy” in the second season. “I have a lot more sides to me,” he said, adding, “You get to see a lot more real-life stuff occurring to us in season 2.”
Kim told ET Canada, “This season is surprising.” “It was very intense”,” she stated when questioned about her relationship with Kevin particularly. “It’s a hurricane, it’s rainy, it’s tumultuous,” Kevin added, “but…you gotta have them, I guess, in the world?” Kim chuckled, “Whatever that means.”
One thing is certain: these two were flirtatious as heck during the filming of Season 2. She quipped to E! in January, just a few months before season two began filming in May, “There’s definitely a lot of flirting going on. Kevin’s been calling me every single day.” Kreider jumped in to say: “No! You’ve been calling me every day. She gets so upset if I don’t call or text her back right away.”
Are Kim and Kevin back together? Let’s Find out
Instagram claims otherwise. They do like each other’s posts and comment on each other’s posts, so they’re probably not on bad terms. Kim commented with a hand-over-mouth emoji on Kevin’s repost of the trailer, and they like each other’s posts but they haven’t posted any photos together or mentioned each other on social media in the last few months.
They did go to LA Fashion Week together in October, probably around the time season two was wrapping up filming:
They’ve also been promoting the new season together, appearing cordial if not romantically involved. Here they are at the Netflix premiere party, third and fourth from the left, looking amicable rather than romantic. Before their romance, Kim and Kevin were friends. In the interval between Kevin hating her and falling in love with her, it appears like they’re back to being…just friends?
