Who is Gabby Petito?

Gabby Petito was allegedly murdered by her fiance Brian Laundrie when the two were traveling across the country in a van in August 2021. Due to the couple’s social media exposure and the odd aspects of the case, the case attracted widespread media coverage and a lot of public curiosity. On September 1, 2021, when Laundrie returned to Florida without Petito, no one was able to reach the influencer. Nichole Schmidt, her mother, reported her missing on September 11th.

The narrative took a tragic turn on September 19. Human remains that appeared to match Petito’s description were discovered in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. “#GABBYPETITO she touched the world,” her father, Joseph, wrote on Twitter after hearing the news.

Gabby Petito was killed by her fiancé, Brian Laundrie. Brian Laundrie, 23, shot himself after Petito was found in September strangled in a Wyoming campground.

Gabby Petito’s cause of death: Strangulation was Gabby Petito’s cause of death, and homicide was her manner of death, according to Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue.

Law and Order Season 21 Episode 2 Recap

The second episode opens with a couple tripping over a body while walking to the park late at night. They phone the cops, and the unit is quickly dispatched to the crime scene. Cosgrove and Bernard examine the dead man, who appears to be dressed in a suit and has two huge wounds on his chest and stomach. They search his coat for a pen, which leads them to Nina Ellis, his business partner, and fiancée. The detectives inform her of the man’s death, and she is saddened to learn of her fiancé’s death. During her interrogation, the investigators discovered that some of her statements were contradictory. The investigation leads them to a man who has threatened Kyle on several occasions in the past. Kyle’s company’s cancer machines were the source of all those threats. The man blamed Kyle for wrecking his life since the corporation made him false promises.  As the investigators continue their inquiry, they learn that several persons at the top of the chain were aware of the broken equipment but did nothing about it. They also paid a visit to the business’s previous CEO Derek Seaver, who departed just as the company was about to go public. They soon learn, however, that a gun was discovered near Seaver’s home, and he was summoned for interrogation. That’s when he confessed that the reason for his departure was due to defective machines and Nina’s false data, which allowed the company to obtain FDA permission.

Nina was served with a search warrant and police searched her home, where they discovered blood smears on her coat. The evidence was shared with the District Attorney’s office, who realized how difficult it would be to convict Nina as soon as they learned about the case. Nina was denied permission to leave the country by the authorities, and she knew what she had to do when she walked out of the courthouse. She manipulated the media to make herself appear as a victim, and the media exploited her for ratings. The district attorney’s office was well aware that the test results would not be acceptable in court, and that they would have to show the jury who the woman was. Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price described her as a “cold-blooded” criminal who killed her fiancé for the sake of business in his opening argument. Nina, on the other hand, turned the situation around when she came out and told everyone that Kyle was abusive. She told the jury that she was afraid of losing her life because of the everyday torture she was subjected to. The false story was successful in putting her in the driver’s seat, and some jurors sympathized with her. Despite the fact that the team planned to offer Nina a bargain, they ultimately set out to convict her. Nolan presented the data she compelled the FDA to approve, claiming that the results were only 50% accurate. He also slammed her character, claiming that the allegations of abuse were untrue. Nina refused to back down, claiming Kyle had hurt her arm three months prior. Nolan was enraged and demanded to know what had happened to her. They discovered that she had broken her arm while playing polo, and it was revealed that Nina had murdered her fiancé. Nina was convicted guilty of murder by the jury.
