After a brief hiatus, Kelli Giddish is back with the New York Police Department as Amanda Rollins on Law & Order: SVU. In the next episode, “Prima Nocta,” Rollins will be looking into a case involving a serial rapist who targets brides. Fans can look forward to seeing more of Rollins’ exchanges with Benson and Carisi, which make the show more funny and realistic.
In Season 25’s eleventh episode, “Prima Nocta,” a bride-to-be who has run away asks the SVU team for help on her wedding day and tells them she was raped the night before. As the team looks into it, Odafin notices a pattern, and Olivia figures out that they may be dealing with a serial rapist who is after wives. Rollins joins the investigation even though it’s her day off and says she knows the person who did it wants to ruin someone’s happiness. The episode looks like it will go into more detail about how emotional and intense the case was, showing how dedicated the team is to getting justice for the victims.

At the beginning of the episode, the jury is still decide whether George Brouchard (Patrick Carroll) is guilty. Most of the jurors think he is guilty, but Slater Dent (Phoebe Lloyd), at first, doesn’t believe it and thinks he is innocent. Slater changes her vote from not guilty to guilty because of pressure from the other jurors. When the decision is read, Slater says in public that she changed her vote because she was forced to. Judge Blake, played by Ami Brabson, looks into it and decides that George may have lied to Slater. Because of this, the trial is thrown out, and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) has to go after George again.
Before the new trial, Maddie (Allison Elaine) tells Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) that George had sex with her, which she had denied at first. Maddie talks about scary things that happened to her, like George kissing her, cutting her hair, and bathing her while she was naked. Carisi adds charges of sexual attack, but George turns down a plea deal and decides to go to court on his own. He fires his lawyer and is now required to stay at home. In the meantime, Maddie’s mother, Eileen (Leslie Fray), tries to get George to confess on her own, but Olivia steps in and stops her.
During the appeal, George asks Maddie about the good times she had with him to make himself seem like he was misunderstood. Eileen goes to George’s hotel with a gun, knowing what will happen if she does, but Olivia stops a tragedy. In the end, George is found guilty of rape and kidnapping. For what she did, Eileen will be on probation and have to do community service. Olivia takes Maddie to see a therapist at the end of the show.
