Law and Order SVU Season 25 Episode 11 Recap
On Law and Order: SVU, Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) seems to be slipping back into her old job too easily, which makes us wonder what will happen to her. At the start of the show, Rollins tricks her husband Carisi by pretending to put pancakes in his briefcase.
Carisi tells Rollins that he should become a detective for the district attorney’s office so that they can spend more time together before he goes to work. At the same time, Captain Benson asks Rollins to lunch, where they talk about the fact that Rollins turned down a tenure offer at Fordham. There is a call about a woman named Jenna who has locked herself in a room at her own wedding, which cuts them off.
Jenna admits that she was raped the night before her wedding, and the rapist took her nightgown and bedding, saying she’d remember him forever. The investigation turns up a similar case from six months ago. In that case, too, the rapist took the victim’s bedding and told her the same thing.
Because there is DNA proof linking the two cases, the squad sets up a sting using Rollins and Carisi as bait. They act like they are getting married to get Leon, the suspect, to come to their apartment. Even though there were initial worries that Rollins might be being set up, he is able to get DNA proof from Leon, which leads to his arrest.
Benson tells Rollins she needs to figure out what she wants to do with her life when she drops off her stuffed chipmunk. Rollins and Benson both say that they need to work on their happiness at the end of the episode, which is a hopeful note.
