Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 12 Recap
A federal financial system was hacked. McClane was the main suspect and he was working for Richard Wheatley. Across the street, Det. Stabler observed a building, a massive data center. They came to learn about a probable strategy in which a data center breach may result in trillions of dollars being taken from financial markets! Miles paid Bernadette a visit with flowers. Bernadette didn’t want the cop to scare away her new buddy, so Stabler inquired about him. The night prior, Stabler and Bell were questioned. Before the blackout, Stabler said he saw Wheatley and McClane. He had a feeling they were planning an attack on the data center. The squad decided to concentrate their efforts on Angela, so investigators were stationed in the apartment above hers. Wheatley came over and gave her diamonds after they listened in.
Wheatley threatened her with a knife and told her that he couldn’t abide seeing her with another man! As McClane hacked the markets, the stock market began to fall. Wheatley vowed to reclaim what the authorities had taken from him. McClane, on the other hand, was not interested in the money he had stolen. Miles returned with flowers and formally met Stabler, who interrogated him. Governor Garcia, Congressman Kilbride, and her confidential informant, Nova, ambushed Bell as she headed to meet her wife for their anniversary meal. They discussed Stabler’s reputation as an overbearing cop with a vendetta against her. After the meeting, Bell drew Nova aside. Nova couldn’t risk jeopardizing her relationship with the politician, so she told her that the bureaucrats might be correct about Stabler. While he was working undercover with the Albanians, she watched his acts… Sgt. Brewster approached Bell and informed her that Stabler would be subjected to a mental assessment. The team came up with a plan to hack Wheatley’s accounts using all of his personal information from previous arrests.
Angela’s house had a laptop installed in it by the team. Wheatley crept into her house, rummaged through her laptop, and discovered a selfie of Stabler, bare-chested. Stabler later met Angela for supper, knowing Wheatley would be watching them. Wheatley barged into the professor’s classroom, obliging her to accompany him. He tracked her down and wanted to know why she was with Stabler and if she was sleeping with him. She stated that she was not. She seduced and kissed her ex-husband in order to save McClane. Returning to the OC… Jett and Malachi were able to break Wheatley’s code and get access to the facility. It was Kathy Stabler’s last day. Elliott suffered a personal setback. … In the elevator, Stabler attacked Wheatley and hit him in the face. Wheatley said the officer was assaulting a civilian. Stabler said that he had his wife.
The two clashed ferociously until Stabler received a call from Bell telling him to back off. Back at the OC, Bell confronted Stabler, informing him that she wouldn’t back him up in front of the bureaucrats because she hadn’t seen Wheatley or McClane at the building. Suddenly, the team received a call from McClane, who informed them that he would hand Wheatley over to them because he had left breadcrumbs in his market hacking efforts. He nonchalantly walked up to people in a library while speaking with cops, handing out bundles of cash before fleeing. Stabler made an agreement with the doctor to give him two days to prove Wheatley was attempting to rob the stock market for billions of dollars. If he’s mistaken, he’ll gladly hand over his badge and gun!
