In the second episode, Landon’s rescue mission begins. Hope lays out her strategy for reuniting Landon with his family, and everyone is on board. Kaleb, on the other hand, admits to lying to Hope about Landon. Clark needs to be released from the hospital, and he wants his medical bills covered. Malivore is being absorbed into him. The scheme fails, and he flees the school, but he transforms into a monster. Hope takes away his gloom and allows him to leave town, but not before he informs her that Alaric is lying to her. Meanwhile, inside the Malivore pit, Cleo and Landon reunite, and Landon reminds her she needs to be careful with her thoughts around the villain.
