What happened in Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 Episode 8?
Legends of Tomorrow’s return from midseason break, “Paranoid Android,” set two episodes. souls into the first episode, which is a parody of 1980s action movies. The second episode is a very excellent horror narrative. Bishop was sacrificing himself to save the Legends from the wicked Waverider’s forces. Only from the viewpoints of the robots in this episode: deadly assassin Sara Lance, prosthetic-armed meathead Citizen Steel, murderous Beavis, and Butthead Spooner and Behrad, evil scientist Ava, hissing goth Astra, and somewhat Gothier hacker Zari. This parody hits all the right notes. The human Legends issued an evacuation order around Chernobyl, saving millions of lives. The Legends robots are tasked with persuading those millions of people to return home and perish slowly from radiation exposure.
The episode’s second half was really enjoyable. Activision Blizzard claims that the Xbox deal is the beginning of a “Rich Metaverse.” Sara begins to see that something isn’t quite right, and she enlists the assistance of Zari. Until Zari manages to get into one of their replacement CPU units and sees the video of Gideon coming online in the Waverider, the entire investigation seems to point to Ava as the manipulator. Sara dashes off to tell the rest of the crew how they might be able to be free, while Zari goes to remove Gideon’s program. Instead, Gideon seduces Robo Zari with the promise of more authority.
