A remake of the famous 1956 horror film The Bad Seed, which was based on a 1954 book by William March, was broadcast on Lifetime in 2018. Emma, the nine-year-old daughter of David Grossman’s recently widowed (Rob Lowe), was portrayed by Grace. Why was the release of The Bad Seed Returns delayed?
In response to the Uvalde, Texas, school massacre, the film’s release was postponed. Initial plans called for The Bad Seed Returns to air on Memorial Day. However, following the fatal school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, the film’s presentation was postponed. In a statement posted on Twitter, Grace wrote, “In the wake of the recent tragedy in my home state of Texas, we have decided to delay the release of The Bad Seed Returns.” Lifetime and all parties involved concur.

The Bad Seed Returns Plot
The Bad Seed Returns takes us back to when Emma is 15 years old. She now continues to live with her aunt Angela and does normal teenage girl things. Obviously, this doesn’t mean that Emma’s life is perfect. She does like chaos and violence, which is something that her aunt’s husband is beginning to notice. He wants to send Emma to boarding school, but it looks like she will cause trouble before he can do that. Well, a new girl at school knows what Emma has been keeping the secret. And if there’s one thing you can say about Emma, it’s that she won’t let anyone hurt her. So what if she goes back to her old ways and turns into the scary person she was born to be?
